What devices does ParaOps support?

ParaOps is built for iPad running iOS 17 or later.

Does the app require an internet connection?

An internet connection is needed to fetch weather data, terrain elevation, and magnetic variation. All other features work offline once data has been retrieved.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your device. ParaOps does not transmit personal data to external servers.

How do I share a drop configuration?

Use the export feature to generate a .paradrop file, which can be shared with other ParaOps users via AirDrop, email, or any file sharing method.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ParaOps (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and to ParaOps — including but not limited to source code, algorithms, calculations, user interface designs, graphics, logos, and documentation — are and shall remain the exclusive property of VELTERM and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent from VELTERM. Any feedback, suggestions, or improvements you provide regarding the App shall become the property of VELTERM and may be used without restriction or compensation.

3. Not a Navigation Device

ParaOps is a planning and reference tool only. It must NOT be used as a primary or sole navigation device, flight instrument, or safety-of-flight system. All outputs — including but not limited to release points, drop calculations, wind data, terrain information, and coordinate positions — are approximations and must be independently verified against authorised navigation equipment, official publications, and standard operating procedures before any operational use.

4. No Guarantee of Accuracy

While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of calculations and data, VELTERM does not warrant that the information provided by the App is accurate, complete, reliable, or error-free. Weather data, elevation models, magnetic variation, and other external data sources are provided by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for verifying all outputs before use.

5. Assumption of Risk

Parachute operations are inherently dangerous activities. You acknowledge that you use the App at your own risk. VELTERM, its developers, contributors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, death, property damage, or loss arising from the use or inability to use the App, or from reliance on any information it provides.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VELTERM and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall VELTERM's total cumulative liability exceed the amount you have paid for the App, if any.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VELTERM and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

8. User Responsibilities

Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Ensure that all operational decisions are made by qualified personnel using approved procedures.
Not rely solely on the App for any safety-critical decisions.
Report any bugs, errors, or unexpected behaviour to assist in improving the software.
Not attempt to circumvent any technical restrictions, access controls, or security measures in the App.

9. Corporate Licences

Organizations or businesses interested in obtaining a corporate licence for ParaOps should contact VELTERM at contact@velterm.com to discuss licensing options, terms, and conditions. Use of the App under a corporate licence is subject to the agreement established with VELTERM.

10. Data & Privacy

ParaOps stores data locally on your device. No personal data is transmitted to external servers by the App itself. Third-party data services (weather, elevation) are accessed according to their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for the security of your device and any data stored on it.

11. Modifications to Terms

VELTERM reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be indicated by a new version number. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Termination

VELTERM may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice or liability, for any reason including breach of these Terms. Upon termination you must cease all use of the App. Sections 2, 5, 6, 7, and 10 shall survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
